More about the BRMB

Pictures not enough?

Then access our main webpage. There you can find current events in the band, our season schedule, bandstaph bios, fun facts, a few songs that we have recorded, etc. - everything you could possibly want to know, and more. We also have a Wikipedia page! And if it's the Big Red Marching Band's history that interests you, here's a quick link to a brief overview of the past 125 years. Close by you can also find a copy of our constitution, memorable stories from the past, and descriptions of the traditions which are so important to us.

More BRMB history archived in Kroch Library!

For a complete list of the archived materials, check out the Guide to the Big Red Band Collection (#37-6-3112). Here's a sample of what has been safely preserved and stored in the depths of Kroch Library:

BRMB recordings from 1951 to 2004, including records, cassette tapes, and CD's
Final Exams from 1982 to 1999
Scrapbooks from 1905 to 2000
Bandstaph Minutes and versions of the Constitution from 1977 to 1998
Various " . . . of the Year" Plaques from 1956 to 1997
And LOTS and LOTS of photographs from the past century.

If you are interested in viewing any of the archived materials, please go to Kroch Library, Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections (enter through Olin Library, walk to the end of the long hallway, and take the stairs two floors down) with the collection number 37-6-3112 during business hours (consult http://rmc.library.cornell.edu/ for more info). Everyone is welcome to visit Kroch Library to take a look at the BRMB's history. And yes, you will have to wear white gloves and stay in a special clean room to be able to handle and read the archived materials.

Alumni: hopefully we will be able to extract some of these scrapbooks and photos for you to view in the band room during Homecoming and Alumni Weekend, but if we are unable to take them out of Kroch, they will always be there for you to see!
